Why do we need to drop assembly for updating changes?

When we load the assembly in to SQL SERVER, it persist it in sys.assemblies. So any changes after that to the external DLL / ASSEMBLY will not reflect in SQL SERVER. So you have to TROP and then CREATE assembly again in SQL SERVER.
